The Urban Vintage Affair
Look at antiques differently
Hey, I’m Natasha, founder of The Urban Vintage Affair, the lifestyle brand offering exclusive antique, vintage and handmade crafted pieces for 21st-century living.
So, whether you’re a serious collector, coffee shop or designer. First-time buyer, cat-lover or punk. Our eclectic range is bursting with unique vintage furnishings and gift ideas that will make you look at antiques differently.
Why buy from us?
When you make a purchase at The Urban Vintage Affair, you’re buying more than a stunning, high-quality talking point.
You’re making an investment.
I’m super-fussy, which means I hand-pick or product develop every single piece in the range, so whatever you choose is an original item which may increase in value while being used.
You’re not just buying for now – you’re investing in your future.
But that’s not all.
I’m also devoted to maintaining sustainable practices, which means I repurpose packaging and use recycled and recyclable products as much as possible, allowing me to produce hand-crafted goods using organic and natural materials.
A timeless love story
You love a good story, right?
Me too, which is why every product in the range has its own unique tale to tell.
Did it:
- Adorn the dresser of a Georgian Duchess?
- Decant wine in a 19th-century Parisian brasserie?
- Sit on the breakfast table in a Victorian dining room?
Whatever its story, thanks to painstaking research, each Category is filled with extensive historical information, helping you to trust the authenticity of the piece, appreciate the value in the craft and understand the journey it has taken on the way to finding its place in your heart.
There’s something for everyone
At The Urban Vintage Affair, we revive the past and breathe new life into modern living.
So, whether you’re looking for nostalgic heirlooms for the home, like antique corner chairs, decanters and porcelain vases. Or a gift for an antique lover, including retro suitcases, egg coddlers or lemon squeezes, you’ll find them on one of our dedicated Shop pages.
However, if handmade, sustainable products, like ceramic pots, tote bags, cushions and jewellery are more your thing, you’ll find our page, The Sommelier, bursting with ideas.
New products are listed every Sunday in New Arrivals, as part of #NewVintageSunday, and you’ll find news of the latest industry trends on the Antique & Creative Blog.
Whatever your vibe, you’ll look at antiques differently at The Urban Vintage Affair.
A bit about me
I’m Natasha, and for years I worked with luxury fashion designers like Tommy Hilfiger, Pringle of Scotland and All Saints, honing my sourcing and development skills.
It was great, sure, but it didn’t feed my fascination for handmade and historical items.
So, I decided to studied antiques and collectables and travelled the country, rummaging through:
- Auction houses
- Antique shops
- High-end trade fairs
- Muddy Car boots sales in the British countryside
I’ve also visited the Netherlands, France, and the United States to source intriguing, useful and timeless pieces which add detail and individuality to contemporary living.
Frankly, I’m a self-confessed antique shopaholic!
If I wasn’t, I’d never have been able to step out on my own and launch The Urban Vintage Affair in 2017, which has since won a WOW Award for outstanding Woman in Business, and is a prestigious #SmallBusinessSunday winner, as chosen by Dragons’ Den legend Theo Paphitis.
Oh, and you think you’ve seen me somewhere before?
That’s because I’m one of the main dealers on BBC1’s The Bidding Room.
