M&Ms Design Effectiveness Award entry
This involved compiling a Design Effectiveness Award entry for Mars Wrigley and the company’s M&Ms Christmas advent calendar, designed by Path, which won a Silver in the 2022 awards. In March 2023, my entry for another design agency was shortlisted for the 2023 awards (announced in June). My involvement in DEA entries (usually commissioned and led by the design agency involved) comprises:
- advising on whether the evidence of design effectiveness is strong enough
- working with client and agency to craft the initial 9-page entry
- proposing the most compelling graphs/chart/images
- facilitating one or two meetings with the DBA as part of their ‘awards consultation’ process
- ensuring that the agency is fully aware of what they need to do for the entry, by when
