What’s next for ProCopywriters?
Well, our priority has always been: support commercial writers.
The question, always, is: what else can we do to help our creative peers?
Corporate memberships
In the coming months we will launch corporate memberships, giving companies a chance to join ProCopywriters for the first time (we currently only accept individual members).
Why are we doing this? Because we want to:
- connect copywriters and the companies that hire them
- support commercial writers who are in-house
- develop training and accreditation schemes for commercial writers
- strengthen ProCopywriters by broadening our support.
Job board improvements
Our Jobs page is rather neglected, but we’re working on it.
Events calendar
There are loads of great events for commercial writers, but it’s not always easy to find them. We’re building a new Events calendar to fill this gap.
Member spotlight – take a turn every year
The member spotlight feature is a popular aspect of what we offer. It gives our members a boost by putting them on our front page. You can now use this feature once every calendar year. Email editor@procopywriters.co.uk for the questions for follow-up appearances.
Educational and inspirational webinars
We’re working on a series of quarterly webinars, presented by a range of copywriting trainers, experienced professionals and inspiring authors. These will be free for all members. You can either watch along live, or catch up with the recording after the event. You will also have access to past webinars.
Rates rising
This does not affect existing members.
As part of our efforts to ensure ProCopywriters is sustainable (i.e. has enough money to fund itself) we are raising our rates. If you’re already a member, you can skip this bit. If you’re considering joining, you might want to join before 1 June, when Pro membership becomes £75 per year and Basic membership becomes £5 per month.
Thanks for your support
ProCopywriters was founded by copywriters and is still run by copywriters. We’re not a big organisation and we still rely on volunteer effort to keep us on track (we have 0 employees – but some very talented freelancers on hand).
But we’re growing steadily and are delighted to be part of such an amazing community. Thank you for supporting us. We wouldn’t be here without your help.
