A big part of our mission is to help copywriters grow.
One of the most effective ways to make this happen is to get professionals talking to each other.
That’s why we create regular opportunities for copywriters to speak, and to listen, to people who have different skills, experiences and perspectives.
Our speakers are all sorts of copywriters…
Some are well-known professionals with bundles of credentials and accolades.
Others are mid-career experts with years of in-house insights to share.
And some are young upstarts with fresh eyes and an eagerness to try something new.
All of these people – and many more – have something to offer a ProCopywriters audience.
There are three types of speaking opportunities with ProCopywriters:
1: Speak at CopyCon
CopyCon is the UK’s largest event dedicated to words that sell.
It’s been running since 2013 (way back when it was called The Professional Copywriters’ Network Conference), and usually hosts around 250 copywriters, communicators and marketers.
We’re always looking for new speakers who can share…
- Practical copywriting tips, techniques or strategies
- Broader marketing insights
- Advice on being a creative professional
- Controversial takes or approaches to our work
- Insights gleaned from specific sectors, markets or channels
CopyCon usually takes place in London in October or November. Speakers are offered a standard fee to cover expenses.
2: Host a ProCopywriters workshop
ProCopywriters workshops have been running since 2018, and we have now hosted more than 80 workshops.
These 1-hour sessions are usually presented by a trainer or a copywriter with in-depth knowledge about a specific topic.
We are always looking for new hosts who can…
- Teach our audience a new skill
- Help our audience grapple with a new technique or technology
- Kick-start discussions and get people thinking.
3: Feature in Ask the Copywriter
Ask the Copywriter is our live interview series. Each session puts a new copywriter in the spotlight, so we can ask them a range of questions about their life and work.
These sessions are designed to help our community learn from each other.
Everyone is welcome to apply, although ProCopywriters members are always prioritised.
