I'm a self-confessed words maven and have been working in marketing, freelance fashion writing and communications for over 17 years now. My writing style for editorial is conversational, engaging and intelligent while my copywriting will always show a distinctive attention to brand identity. My obsession is tone of voice, style and adapting that for SEO and social media platforms.
I've been immersed in the fashion and retail sector for many years and my recent work has involved a great deal of insight into the business of luxury and sustainable sector and that market. I've recently been diversifying my remit and have been commissioned to produce SEO creative content while re-writing another luxury brand website, so that dimension is very interesting to me in addition to the production of regular creative content.
I have experience reporting for fashion platforms such as Pure London, Drapers and Fashion Revolution as well as the Huff Post UK. I've worked with fashion groups and brands (mostly independent or start-ups but also a B2B distribution agency for a few years) for over 17 years delivering content, editing interviews and producing online or print content, including social media and blogs. I've also written or ghost-written for both consumer press and trade press. My grounding was initially in retail and the trade side of the industry and its media.
I have a CAM diploma from the Chartered Institute of Marketing (CIM) and am a member of the NUJ.
