I'm Chloe, and I work at mark-making*.
I started while I was a student (MA Und. in Philosophy & English Literature), helping out a web developer pal with copy. He insisted that I could make a good living doing this work, and now, a couple of years on, it seems he was right.
I'm interested in how content and copy help users around the web, and in the ever-changing fractal puzzle that is the email subject line. I make verbal assets with a creative team for new or re-imagined brands. It's exciting, and wonderfully fulfilling when we see them working hard out in the world.
Biggest challenge so far? Web copy for a company of remote handling engineers that essentially put robots in disused reactors (but they wouldn't let me put it quite like that).
Trading as Re:scrawl in collaboration with Moon Creative, I named and branded Grub (eatgrub.co.uk).
